Knowledge Management for USAID

USAID (www.usaid.gov) – The United States Agency for International Development – is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State. USAID has been the principal U.S. agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms. Its work supports long-term and equitable economic growth and advances U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting: economic growth, agriculture and trade; global health; and, democracy, conflict prevention and humanitarian assistance.

Stocker Group is implementing a Knowledge Management (KM) system for USAID in Colombia. The project will establish a network for more than 200 consultants that are working for USAID in Colombia, through its main executor is CARANA CORP. This KM system will be implemented using a platform that is developend based on the the needs of the users. Afterwards awareness building and training programs will be executed in various cities adjusting the methodology and system to the Colombian reality. With this system USAID is going to coordinate its activities in Colombia and to leverage its impact.
