The AVINA Foundation (www.avina.net) is the result of the vision of the Swiss entrepreneur Stephan Schmidheiny about the necessity to put sustainable development principles into practice. Mr. Schmidheiny founded AVINA in 1994, thereby continuing a long family tradition of dedication to philanthropy. The values and principals that sustain AVINA are human dignity, equal opportunities, freedom, social responsibility and the respect and care for the environment. AVINA aims to reach influential leaders and business executives of civil society in their initiatives for the sustainable development of Latin America.

Stocker Group is working wiht AVINA in several projects. On of them is implementing a communication system for the leadership network of AVINA in Chile, establishing a Knowledge Management network that allows the different project leaders to see where there are synergies, to implement changes and thus obtain greater impact. Another project we are implementing at this moment is a lotus based reporting tool for the AVINA network. We also maintain the Internet systems of AVINA online, update their web site and maintaining the servers.
